A New Judge For Lindsay Lohan
A new judge is set to oversee Lindsay Lohan‘s continuing legal saga after Judge Marsha Revel resigned from the case following accusations of impropriety.
Belated reports said Revel officially removed herself from the case on Friday last week, after prosecutors questioned her alleged holding of hearings and conference calls without properly informing the District Attorney. Los Angeles District Attorney spokeswoman Jane Robison said that the incident “happened several times.”
One of the moves questioned by the prosecution was Revel’s choice of the rehab facility where Lohan should proceed after serving her shortened jail sentence. According to TMZ, Revel initially wanted to send Lohan to the Morningside Recovery facility although it was not included in the list that court-appointed experts have recommended. Lohan was eventually sent to the UCLA Medical Center on the suggestion of her lawyer.
Judge Elden Fox, who handled Winona Ryder’s shoplifting case in 2001, has been assigned to replace Revel.
