Customized Google Homepage Will Be Possible Soon
Google as always been proud of their minimalist homepage, but for those who wished that they could somehow customize it, there is some good news.
In a recent blog post, Google has announced that they are ready to start letting users customize its home page with photos of their own.
Over the next few days, US visitors to Google.com will be able to drag photos from their computer or a Picasa library onto the home page, giving it a unique background.
Meanwhile, users outside the U.S. will get the feature a little bit later as Google gradually rolls it out around the world.
In the past, users could only set up customized iGoogle pages, but not the basic Google.com home page. Many see this as a sign to stay at par with Microsoft’s Bing search engine, while not customizable, but otherwise features different photos as its background.
