iOS 4 Update May To Fix iPhone 4 Signal Problem
Initially, Apple says that you can just hold the iPhone 4 the “right way” to avoid the antenna problem. Now, they are saying that a software fix is in the works to possible remedy the issue.
Apple is set to release an iOS 4.0.1 update fix anytime soon. It can be remembered that around the time the iPhone 4 was first released last week, users started complaining of weakened or poor reception which causes calls to drop.
Then consumers discovered that gripping the iPhone 4 with their left hands caused the interference in signal because the antenna band that runs around the unit was being blocked.
Late Thursday, Apple acknowledged the issue but explained it as a fact of life for every wireless phone. Apple reported on Monday that it sold 1.7 million iPhone 4 units in the first three days.
