Next James Bond Movie Delays Production

The twenty third installment of the James Bond movie franchise has been delayed indefinitely as announced in a press release by its producers, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli of EON Productions.

The film is initially set for release in late 2011 or early 2012. But due to “continuing uncertainty surrounding the future of MGM and the failure to close a sale of the studio” the producers have decided to suspend development of the movie indefinitely.

Is this a sign that the rights for the production of the next James Bond 007 adventure will soon be “on sale” to other film studios? Stay tuned as we follow this news.
