X-Men: First Class Tops Weekend Box Office

The first movie of the new franchise, “X-Men: First Class” topped the recent weekend Box Office earning an estimated $56 million in the US and $64 million internationally.

However, among all the X-Men movies, this is the second to the lowest debut.

According to records, the lowest movie debut, the first X-Men movie made $54.5 million on its first week in 2000. However, that movie eventually made a worldwide income of $296.3 million and was the ninth top-grosser film of that year.

On the other hand, “X-Men: First Class” did beat last weekend’s box-office hit “The Hangover: Part II”, which made $32.4 million this week.
